We partnered with Munthor, the ethical food supplier, to help them create a brand identity that truly embodied their values and set them apart from competitors. The goal was to develop a cohesive visual language across all of Munthor's communications, from their website to marketing materials. The result? A fresh, modern brand that resonates with conscious partners and stands out in the crowded food industry.
The ethical food supplier that prioritizes sustainability and local support
Munthor is a global food supplier with a strong commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing practices. Their goal is to provide high-quality products while promoting responsible agricultural practices and supporting local farmers. Munthor's focus on quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing is what sets them apart from their competitors.
The two sides of Munthor
In our discovery session with Munthor, we identified several key brand traits essential to their identity. However, we also recognized that two distinct thematic areas needed to be balanced in the brand's design. The challenge was to create a brand that could embrace these two sides: to look professional, while also incorporating the caring features that are so fundamental to Munthor's core values.
Natural Geometry, the concept behind Munthor's brand
Behind Munthor's brand is the concept of Natural Geometry that features natural elements to represent the more caring and sustainable side and a geometric aesthetic to convey reliability. By combining features from the two sides of Munthor, we were able to create a unique and recognizable brand.
After defining the brand, we designed a variety of materials, including a website, corporate video, brochures, business cards, email signatures, stamps, and letterheads. We also created templates that the team at Munthor can use to stay on brand, such as PowerPoint presentations, product specification templates, and communication letters.
Designing a distinct logotype
Munthor's logo aimed to stand out from competitors by avoiding the common practice of using a wordmark alongside a separate icon. Instead, the logo integrates a symbol directly into the letter "R," which is designed to resemble a green sprout. The letter "T" was also modified to align visually with the "R," creating a cohesive design. The final result is a distinctive logotype, combining a geometric typeface with a natural element, embodying the Natural Geometry concept.
